petals and a kiss

he dreams of her fingertips gracing his skin
awakening senses long buried
(or forgotten)
each word leaving her lips, wrapped
in a voice so soft it’s drowned
in the rustle of trees
answering to the night’s breeze
cashmere petals blown in the wind
landing on his cheek, as she leans in
for a long overdue
kiss
