moonlight on her hair

the kind to always welcome dusk
she wore moonlight well on her hair
sat by her windowsill and talked
to the moon all night

by dawn you’d see her skin glow
for she’d spilled her heart to the one
who’d listen and understand her song
before she hummed the melody

pink blush on her cheeks
was where she was moon-kissed
and loved in the darkness
