chartreuse dream

I feel you reach out
caressing my skin—or is it the wind?
Lovebirds perched on swaying twig
laugh
as we kiss.
From this angle I can see
your eyes smiling,
or maybe it’s just sliver of sunlight sparkling—
this is us daydreaming of Spring
you pulling me in.
I melt into you as the leaves turn
to chartreuse.
